10 Must-See, Must-Do Summer Experiences in Stowe

One of the questions we get asked the most from guests is “We’re here for ‘X’ amount of time, what must we see?” Sure the answer depends on if ‘X’ is a couple hours or over a week, but these 10 things are a great place to start for your summer getaway to Stowe. Covered Bridges
A classic Vermont staple, there are three covered bridges in the area, including the famously haunted Emily’s bridge, also known as the Gold Brook Covered Bridge. There is another located at one end of the Stowe Recreation Path.
Waterfalls
Vermont is home to many tranquil waterfalls and there are many in the area guests can hike to. Moss Glen Falls, the tallest waterfall in Vermont, and Bingham Falls are two of the most popular and easy-to-access spectacles.
Mount Mansfield
You have to experience Vermont’s tallest peak when in Stowe and there are so many ways to scale the mountain in the summer, including the Gondola SkyRide, the Auto Toll Road and, the good old fashioned way, on foot!
Live Music

Ice Cream
Summer is not complete without ice cream on a warm, sunny day. A true Vermont creemee or a trip to the Ben & Jerry’s Factory is the perfect sweet treat for summer. Tour the factory and see where the Vermont duo started it all.
