Breweries
Located at the Trapp Family Lodge, the von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall is a must visit for any craft beverage enthusiast. The von Trapp Brewery currently produces several lagers brewed from the finest authentic Austrian ingredients and their own pure Vermont spring water. Visit the brewery and then grab lunch at the Bierhall – serving authentic Austrian lunch and dinner selections.
Local brewpub, Idletyme Tap & Tavern. offers high-value fare, in a cool atmosphere. Whether your preference is brown or pale ale, Helles Lager, or the famous Idletyme Double IPA, you’ll not be disappointed by their experienced Brewmaster’s offerings.
The famous Heady Topper can be found at The Alchemist Brewery, a family-owned brewery using business as a force for social and environmental good. Patrons can enjoy a beverage in the seasonal Beer Garden and Beer Cafe, enjoy easy curbside beer pickup, or simply stop by and explore the retail shop.
Wineries and Cideries
Ellison Estate Vineyard is a new family run winery in Stowe, Vermont that crafts Old-World style natural wine from one of the oldest and largest single plantings of grape vines in Vermont. This boutique winery offers small intimate tastings and events.
Founded in 2013, Stowe Cider has a vision to bring something different hard cider lovers. Located on Mountain Road in Stowe, their tasting room is open a select few days inside the production facility. Enjoy live music, a consistently rotating tap selection and more than 10 varieties available to go.
Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a great, family-friendly stop on your way to Stowe. While they are known as the top New England producer of fresh apple cider, they also serve authentic hard cider as well. Try their popular Barn Dance made from the cider mill and pair it with a freshly made cider donut.
Distilleries
Handcrafted in Vermont since 2002, Green Mountain Distillers blends the finest ingredients, using small batch fermentation and a proprietary distillation process. Visit their distillery in Morristown and experience a tasting tour with founders and distillers Tim and Howie.
