Run For Views and Brews at the Stowe Craft Brew Race

Destination races and beer festivals are a great way to make a vacation out of your passion. And what better place for a springtime race than Vermont! With beautiful weather, picturesque views at every turn and many attractions in the area, Stowe is a popular destination for races, events and festivals throughout the year. If you’re a runner who loves a good competition–or just like to drink craft beer–you don’t want to miss the Stowe Craft Brew Race on May 19.
The Stowe Craft Brew Race draws both competitive and casual runners and also those who just love a good craft beverage. Following the 5K race is a craft beer festival which coincides (conveniently) with American Craft Beer Week, May 14 – 20. Stowe and the surrounding area have been recognized internationally as a mecca for craft beer. Love beer but dislike running? Tickets to the beer festival-only are available.
The Stowe Craft Brew Race combines these elements for a unique and memorable experience with friends and family. All 5k participants and festival-goers receive a pint glass and entry to the festival with beer sampling, live music, food trucks and vendors. The event will benefit Stowe Land Trust, a non-profit land conservation organization that protects Stowe’s farms and forests including the Mayo Farm along the race route.

Running
Running through Stowe’s scenic landscape makes this race worthwhile. This competitive 5K begins at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa and winds through the countryside and along the Stowe Recreation Path. Celebrate your accomplishment and share a beverage with fellow runners afterward.
Hydrating
This event is perfect for the craft beverage lover looking to sample a variety of quality Vermont refreshments. The craft brew festival features more than 40 Vermont breweries, wineries and cideries. Craft beverage producers from the Stowe area include:
Designated Drivers
Designated Driver ticketholders receive a different bracelet at registration and are welcome to enjoy the festival and designated snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
