Sunrise Mountain Guides is Stowe, Vermont’s premier mountain guide service, located at the foot of Mount Mansfield — Vermont’s highest peak. Our mission is simple; to foster a love for outdoor recreation and adventure. Experience Vermont’s beauty and natural resources, with safety, risk awareness and injury prevention being priority #1. Teach “Leave No Trace” principles and promote land preservation for future generations.

Our guides are your connection to “local” knowledge, introducing ALL of the outdoor recreational opportunities that the Green Mountains have to offer. From ice climbing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter to rock climbing, hiking, and trail running in the summer, Sunrise Mountain Guides offers guided tours and instruction for individuals and families.

Sunrise Mountain Guides also offers an experience for groups that want to be challenged in leadership, problem solving, and survival in an outdoor setting. Each adventure is catered to the group time line, physical ability, and goals. Groups are divided into teams that negotiate tasks in an outdoor environment. Navigation, rope skills, survival tasks, team tasks and memory events are a few examples of the different categories we offer. The adventure time can be as little as three hours a full day or multi-day outings.
