Trapp Family Lodge Tours & Activities

You’ll never run out of things to do at Trapp Family Lodge. Our Stowe resort is a 2,600-acre mecca for the outdoor and nature enthusiast, with activities ranging from high-energy skiing and mountain biking to more relaxed bird watching and von Trapp family history tours. With the fabled Stowe village and the state’s highest mountain only minutes away, the best of Vermont’s winter, spring, summer, and fall outdoor activities are all at your doorstep when you stay with us.

Do everything or nothing at all – it’s up to you. The question isn’t what to do, but rather, where to start? From sunrise to sunset in every season, there is an invigorating adventure or relaxing activity waiting for you at the Trapp Family Lodge. With our great trail system that is always being expanded and improved upon, we have one of the best cross-country ski centers in the country. You’ll enjoy access to more than 60 miles of trails with terrain suitable for every level of Nordic/backcountry skier or snowshoer. In warmer months, you can walk or hike to enjoy the solitude of the trails that wind their way through meadows and woodlands.

On our vast property in Stowe, we also have four red clay tennis courts, two swimming pools (one indoors), a great croquet pitch, and a Fitness Center offering state-of-the-art exercise equipment, yoga classes, massage therapy, a rock-climbing wall, and a sauna. Both kids and adults are welcome to join in on our daily activities like baking, painting, and music classes.
