Road Biking
Stowe is the ideal base-camp for road biking enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a short ride around town, or a longer full-day excursion, our roads and paved trails like the Stowe Recreation Path offer some of the most scenic cycling routes in Vermont. We have a lot of pavement to explore, as well as an extensive network of gravel roads with views. Stowe drivers happily share the road with cyclists on our well-maintained roads. Be aware of vehicle traffic when riding your bicycle through Smugglers’ Notch. The road is windy, steep, and slick when wet.
