Tips to prepare for your visit to Stowe Mountain Resort:

• Save on Lift Tickets: Purchase your lift tickets at least 7 days before your first-day skiing for the best rates. Buy online and skip the ticket line.
• Trail Map. Scope out the terrain before you head up. Busy day on the hill?  Check out some of the less-popular lifts like the Sensation Quad (great intermediate/advanced terrain), Toll House Double (beginner/intermediate) and Mountain Triple (intermediate) lifts. 
• Get to the mountain early. Weekends are considered peak days at Stowe Mountain Resort. Plan to take extra time to get to your destinations—particularly on a holiday weekend or snow event, and especially when the two overlap. Stowe offers a variety of in-town transportation options, including the complimentary Mountain Road Shuttle that provides convenient service from the mountain to Main Street and points of interest, especially if you’re without snow tires which are encouraged for getting around town. Get an early start on Mountain Road by 7 a.m.—6:30 a.m. on peak weekend and snowy weekend days—and you’ll set yourself up for an excellent day on Mt. Mansfield. • Book equipment rentals in advance. Bypass morning crowds and head straight to the mountain for an exceptional day on the hill by picking up your rentals the night before at one of several sporting good shops in town.
