Stowe Historical Society
The Stowe Historical Society and Museum is located in the West Branch Schoolhouse, a district school that was moved to this site in 2009, sited next to the Bloody Brook Schoolhouse, another district school that was moved in 1909 to its current location. Both museums are handicap accessible. The Society also has a large portion of its military collection on display in the Memorial Room of the Akeley Soldiers Memorial Building on Main Street.
Parking is along the street, or as available throughout the village. The Society has published several books which are available for purchase at the museum, along with a number of vintage-scene post cards. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 12 – 3 p.m. or by appointment; and other times when the flags are out.
