Celebrate the Fourth of July in Stowe

From small-town parades to fireworks and festivals, Stowe, Vermont is the place to be on the Fourth of July. The annual “Old Fashioned” celebration brings families and friends together for an entire day of festivities. Start the day with spirit. The unique Moscow Parade in the hamlet of Moscow envelops the small-town charm that is sought in Vermont. From there, head over to the historic Stowe Village for the “Old-Fashioned Village Festival” which includes the first summer Art on Park. Browse hand-crafted goods from local artisans and sample food from vendors while listening to live music. Don’t miss other special events in the Village, like the pie-eating contest and the “World’s Shortest Marathon.”
Continue the day-long celebration with the 6th Annual Village Parade. The parade starts at the Stowe Events Field and travels through the village, ending at Memorial Park. Of course it wouldn’t be a spectacular Fourth of July without an epic fireworks display! At dusk, after the family-friendly Fourth of July Celebration at the Mayo Events field, watch an impressive fireworks show with majestic Mt. Mansfield as a backdrop.
As you make your way through Stowe, be sure to stop at local retailers during 7 Miles of Sales. 27 independently-owned shops are participating in a town-wide Independence Day sale through the 7th, with deals along the seven-mile Mountain Road and beyond.
