Noyes House Museum

The Morristown Historical Society’s Noyes House Museum is located in the historic village of Morrisville. Discover a variety of exhibits during a one-hour tour highlighting the Morristown Historical Society’s collection of 19th century furniture, textiles, clothing, photographs, pottery, folk and fine art, and the tools and objects of daily life. The exhibits are intriguing but the stories of the objects bring the museum to life.

Explore the home of Carlos Noyes, the “Father of Lamoille County Banking” and the history of the Morrisville community. The main section of the home is deemed, federal style architecture, built by Jedidiah Safford between 1810-1820. In 1875 Carlos Noyes purchased the home adding Victorian style. Victorian additions include stylized molding, doors and an ell replete with office, “modern” kitchen, pantry, and a carriage room attaching the home to the barn.
