Stowe Trails Partnership
The Stowe Trails Partnership (STP) manages well over 35 miles of trails in Stowe – one of the most extensive networks in the Northeast. These trails are open to the public for mountain biking, hiking, walking, etc., and are accessible from many different points in town. Although there is not a required fee to access the trails, Stowe Trails Partnership membership is strongly encouraged to help maintain and sustain this valuable resource. STP has spent approximately $24,000 every year over the past three years building and maintaining these vibrant trails, with the majority of the work done by local volunteers. STP/VMBA Membership costs as little as $55/year for an individual and $110/year for a family. Please see below for more information on the various public trails.
Please note many of the trails maintained by STP pass through private land with permission from landowners. Please be respectful of private property and check conditions in the daily trail report to see which trails are closed/under construction. Trails do open and close in accordance with the weather. Trail maps are available at many stores in town – money from maps sold goes directly toward trail maintenance.
