In partnership with the Nulhegan Abenaki, Stowe Vibrancy will celebrate the 3rd Annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Stowe on October 8. Named a 2022 Vermont Chamber of Commerce Top Ten Fall event, it’s a full day of Native American culture, education, and live Indigenous musical performances with Chief Donald Stevens and the Nulhegan Drummers, Theresa Bear Fox & Kontiwennenhawi~Carriers of the Words, Jesse Bowman Bruchac, Morgan Lamphere and Bryan Blanchette.

Stowe Vibrancy dedicates the day to the late Joanne Shenandoah, Grammy Award winner and Iroquois recording artist, our first headline singer for the inaugural 2020 Indigenous Peoples’ Day Rocks! The daylong program culminates in a rousing rock-and-roll concert with The Dave Keller Band, DC’s Queen of Blues~Carly Harvey, John Fusco (emcee), and the incomparable Blue Hall of Fame inductee Joe Louis Walker.
