While outdoor activities attract many visitors to Stowe, this historic New England town has a vibrant arts scene that brings in artists from around the world. Located at the base of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s tallest peak, the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center (SPPAC) hosts a variety of live performances each year–from dance and music, to plays and exhibits. SPPAC also features local artists and family-friendly performances, including Sleeping Beauty by the State Ballet Theatre of Russia. The Boston Globe’s “Here, there, and everywhere” column highlights this classic story brought to life by 50 ballet dancers in a full-scale production.
