The Morrisville-Stowe State Airport (MVL) is a full-service airport built 40 years ago that provides a personalized experience with magnificent views along the way. Recent renovations to the state-of-the-art airport include a reconstructed runway, taxiway and a new lighting system. Flights depart the Westchester County Airport (HPN) on Fridays and Sundays in the winter months, with additional flights added as scheduling and demand allow. HPN also has free parking and is about a half-hour train ride from the city, which allows Vermonters affordable access to New York City with half-price return flights to White Plains.
The Morrisville-Stowe State Airport is also home to Stowe Soaring, which hosts glider rides in the summer and fall. The airport hosts events like Stowe Airtoberfest in October.
