Dine, Sip and Discover With Vermont Taste Through June 30
May 14, 2018 by LEAH HOLLENBERGER, COPLEY HOSPITAL
The crafts of Vermont chefs, farmers, cheesemakers, artisan food producers and brewers and are part of a new (and delicious) community celebration. The idea of “Dine Out, Do Good” is the underlying theme of Vermont Taste, a collaboration of talented and diverse leaders from the Vermont food, beverage and hospitality scenes. When you visit your favorite Stowe hangout (or check out a new place) through June 30, you’re helping support local businesses and Copley Hospital, a non-profit community hospital serving north central Vermont.
Vermont Taste, coordinated by Copley Hospital, is led by a team of passionate volunteers from the Vermont food scene. Funds raised will benefit Copley Hospital’s Charitable Care program, which provides financial assistance for health care for community members. This program helped provide free or discounted care for 2,300 visits last year, helping folks like Alanna Wilson and Tom Silva, a well-known ski racer and ski coach at Stowe High School for several years before retiring due to a medical condition.
Come celebrate our people, products and place with Vermont Taste, and help your friends and neighbors receive the care they need. Some events may require an advance ticket due to limited space, or occur on a specific date. Read below how you can experience Vermont’s flavors while helping a cause.
“Dine Out, Do Good” at participating restaurants
Restaurant partners make it twice as nice to enjoy a craft beer, cider or glass of wine while dining or during a social hour. Order a featured craft beer, and two donations will be made to Copley Hospital’s Charitable Care program: one by participating restaurants, which will contribute a portion from every sale, and another by Farrell Distributing, which will match the total amount.
Vermont Taste draws heavy hitters from Stowe’s food scene, including:
- The Bench
- The Bistro at Ten Acres
- Charlie B’s Pub & Restaurant
- Harrison’s Restaurant & Bar
- Junior’s at Stowe
- Idletyme Brewing Co.
