June 1, 2018 by LUCY NERSESIAN, STOWE TRAILS PARTNERSHIP
People travel from all over to mountain bike in Stowe. With one of the most extensive trail networks in the northeast U.S., there are many trail options for all riding abilities. Stowe is also home to several mountain biking events throughout the year. If you’re looking for an adventurous summer getaway, join the Stowe Trails Partnership for the fifth annual B3 Fest – Bikes, Brews & Beats in Stowe, Vermont from June 29 – July 1.
The “B3 Fest” is an annual celebration of Vermont mountain biking, craft beverages and music. This three-day, town-wide festival will be packed with parties, group rides, tastings, music, family-friendly events, food and drink specials, live music and more all over Stowe. Admission is still free and this is most definitely a kid-friendly event.
The (un)official start of summer in Stowe kicks off with the B3 Fest Block Party on Friday, June 29 in the historic Stowe village, complete with music, vendors, free tastings and samples from some of the area’s finest producers of craft brews and artisan foods and music. The B3 Fest Block Party is organized by Stowe Vibrancy, a local organization that works to enhance the vibrancy of the town through events and other efforts.
Immediately following is the ever-popular Critical Mass Ride. Hundreds of riders take off en masse from the village, riding up the Mountain Road with police escort to Piecasso Pizzeria & Lounge for the official B3 Fest Kick-Off Party. This featured B3 event attracts hundreds of locals and visitors, and takes place rain or shine!
On Saturday, June 30, the Stowe Trails Partnership is offering group rides for all levels. Once your ride is done, indulge in the food and drink specials available throughout town. Don’t forget to attend the world-famous Trike Race at Sushi Yoshi Saturday afternoon – a tradition that’s not to be missed! Exclusive lodging discounts are available for those traveling to Stowe for the B3 Fest. For information about the event and registration, visit the B3 Fest website.
