A Styled Day in Stowe

It’s the perfect time of year to plan a staycation, day-trip or long weekend in Stowe, Vermont. With an abundance of shopping and dining options and a luxe mountain-town atmosphere of fresh-air and relaxation, we think it’s the perfect place to retreat to. Whether you’re in town for just a day or have a whole weekend to spread out, we want to let you in on some of our finer favorites!
EAT. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Stowe has you covered! For a classic, diner-style hearty breakfast that is known and loved by locals and visitors alike, stop at McCarthy’s Restaurant. Enjoy comfort food favorites from waffles, omelets, pancakes, breakfast potatoes and all the coffee you can drink. For a quick breakfast sammie, coffee or drink to go, we suggest The Bagel. A variety of spreads and sandwich combinations make this café a favorable and effortless spot to start your day.
SHOP. Now that it’s 10 a.m. and you’re charged for the day, it’s time to treat yourself! Green Envy is a one-stop shop for women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, handbags and more. This gorgeous mountain-chic boutique centered on the Mountain Road between the ski slopes and the downtown features one of the best premium denim selections in all New England, and an impressive selection of luxe, on-trend pieces from your favorite brands. Imagine the best-fitting jeans you’ve ever tried on, irresistible cashmere and soft leather totes. Shopping Green Envy is like shopping with an old friend – there’s fun and laughter in a stylish and accommodating setting!
For boho-chic clothing and beautiful accessories, visit BunyaBunya in the Red Barn Shops on the Mountain Road. Their intricate, eclectic and feminine pieces add statement and interest to your wardrobe! If you want to find local artisan gems, be sure to check out the Stowe Craft Gallery, which offers a curated collection of Vermont-made items from jewelry to dishes…both beautiful and inspiring!
SNACK. For a midday snack, pop over to Stowe Bee Bakery & Café! This sweet snack spot features artfully crafted treats and pastries, coffee and drinks. Perfect for a recharge. Just across the street is the acclaimed Harvest Market. If you’re looking for an infinite selection of snacks, pastries, coffee, drinks, fresh deli dishes and baked goods, Harvest Market is your hot spot.
SPA. Nestled right off the main drive through town is the award-winning Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa. This full-service resort and spa is family-owned and operated and is in the heart of the area. Within the Stoweflake walls you’ll find an extensive spa menu, from manicures to invigorating herbal-oil deep tissue massages. The Spa at Stoweflake is the place to unwind and rejuvenate your senses and emotions.
DINE. Top off your Styled Stowe Experience with fine dining and drinks! We love Idletyme Brewing Co. for its extensive menu, local beer selection and comfortable patio dining experience just off the Stowe Recreation Path. If you are a couple, or vino-lover that seeks out unique dishes or tapas, Cork Wine Bar & Market of Stowe is your place. For family-friendly dining we have two loves. The Bench has classic American menu items and some local favorites. Their beer-battered mac and cheese is one of our must-haves. Piecasso Pizzeria & Lounge is another amazing option for families. From favorable cheese pizza by-the-slice to beautiful salads and gourmet pizza toppings, Piecasso pleases all palettes in a relaxed and fun dining room.
