Whether you’re strolling down Main Street, or driving up Mountain Road, you’ll see Stowe’s unparalleled dining options. Since it is the holiday season, indulge at a few of Stowe’s dining establishments. Start your day with a homemade breakfast at Butler’s Pantry, located in the Stowe Village. Main Street favorite, The Whip Bar & Grill, is located inside the historic Green Mountain Inn. The Whip offers a fine dining experience in a casual atmosphere. The extensive menu is prepared with Vermont products and ingredients from local farmers. Just up the Mountain Road is The Bench, where you can indulge in Duck Fat Fries, Wood Fired Nachos, or one of their signature wood-fired pizzas. If you’re looking for a quick bite for the ride home, try out Ranch Camp. This fast-casual restaurant and bike shop specializes in sandwiches, salads and burritos such as the El Monte Verde, the vegetarian Power Plant and Early Riser, a breakfast option.

Insider tip: Ranch Camp’s Fried ‘Chokes are delicious and made with gluten-free flour. Don’t forget the dipping sauce for this crispy treat.

Winter Activities
If you traveled here for Stowe’s world-class alpine skiing and riding, or you haven’t planned any activities, Stowe is a holiday destination for all ages and interests. Explore 37 miles of groomed cross-country trails at the Trapp Family Lodge. Not a skier? Trapp’s also offers exceptional snowshoeing.  If you’re looking for an off-beat outdoor activity, Lamoille Valley Bike Tours offers a unique way to explore Vermont’s winter landscapes; from an E-Bike. For the craft beverage enthusiast, stop by the Stowe Cider tasting room and try a classic like Tips Up, or a rotating item such as Apple Haze or Strawberry Fields. Local brew pub, Idletyme Brewing Co. brews their traditional take on classic European brewing, with some added Vermont hop culture. The Doubletyme IPA is a must try. For the chilly winter evenings, try the Oatmeal Stout or Vanilla Porter.

Insider tip: Stop by Stowe Cider on a Saturday between 3 – 6 p.m. for live music and drink specials. Idletyme Brewing Co. also offers live music every Friday at 6 p.m.

While you’re in town, check out one a local event, such as the Festival of Trees and Light at the Helen Day Art Center. Stop into Laughing Moon Chocolates and learn how to make your own candy cane.
