1) British Invasion

September 10 – 12, 2021
The British Invasion is the largest all British motorcar show in the United States annually attracting over 600 British motorcars. Join this three-day event that includes “all things British” in their 30th year, with a primary focus on classic British motorcars.


2) Von Trapp Brewing Oktoberfest

September 18, 2021
It wouldn’t be fall without an Oktoberfest celebration! Enjoy live Bavarian-style music from the Vermont German band Inseldudler, Autstiran style beer and food and lots of fun at the von Trapp Biergarten and Bierhall.


3) Pumpkin Chuckin’

September 26, 2021
Back for the 12th year, this festival celebrates the sport of “chuckin’” pumpkins for distance using a do-it-yourself constructed trebuchet, or gravity-powered catapult. The event takes place at Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa, and features three rounds of competitive pumpkin chuckin’ along with music, a chili cook-off, and kids activities for an enjoyable, family-friendly fall day.


4) Indigenous Peoples’ Day Rocks

October 9, 2021
The 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Stowe will be a day long event of culture, education, and music, including a welcoming by Chief of the Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe, performances by the Nulhegan Abenaki drummers, Abenaki preservationists, exhibitors, storytellers and demonstrations, Indigenous artisan and food vendors.

5) Stowe Foliage Arts Festival

October 8 – 10, 2021
Returning for its 38th year, the popular Stowe Foliage Arts Festival celebrates foliage color while enjoying dine art and craftwork from 150 artists and artisans. While enjoying the artisans you can also taste local Vermont flavors with food dishes from vendors and a beer tent for refreshments.


6) Stowe Farmers’ Market

Through October 10, 2021
The Stowe Farmers’ Market offers an incredible assortment of fresh local produce, food vendors with irresistible lunch options, unique craft producers and more! Be sure to check out the expanded market in its new location at the Stowe Motel & Snowdrift.


7) Exposed

Through October 23, 2021
Stroll through Stowe Village from The Current art gallery to down the Stowe Recreation Path and view pieces from Exposed, an outdoor sculpture exhibit displayed throughout town. Exposed highlights artists who focus on current political and social constructs/issues/systems through the relationship of language, sculpture, and installation.


8) Heady Trotter 4-Miler

October 17, 2021
Perfectly timed  in the middle of fall between Vermont’s foliage season and the opening of the ski slopes, the Heady Trotter 4 Miler returns to Stowe. The four-mile road race through scenic Stowe starts and finishes at the Alchemist brewery with a crisp fresh Heady Topper beer and live music, food trucks and lawn games all afternoon.


9) Vermont 10-Miler

November 7, 2021
The Vermont 10-Miler is a circular course through ten miles of Stowe’s most beautiful roads. This race offers some great late autumn vistas and will challenge runners at the same time. Proceeds from the Vermont 10-Miler help benefit Stowe Land Trust, which works to preserve Stowe’s most beautiful open spaces that are used for our recreation and also promote conservationism.
