Stowe’s First Pride Day: How to Celebrate

Did you know that in addition to Pride Month in June, Vermont celebrates pride with Pride Week? Vermont’s Pride Week is a week-long celebration with events happening daily from August 28 to September 5, 2021. As a precursor to Vermont’s pride week, Stowe is kicking off the week with its very first Stowe Pride Day on August 22, 2021 to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and travel. Lake Champlain Chocolates Chocolate Bar Flag
Located on Route 100 on your way to Stowe, Lake Champlain Chocolates will be supporting Stowe Pride Day by displaying a pride flag made out of their Five Star Bars. Check it out or take a photo while stopping in for some chocolates and ice cream.

Signature Lattes at Round Hearth Café & Marketplace
On Sunday, August 22, 2021 Round Hearth Café & Marketplace will be selling their signature latte in honor of pride and donating 20% of the latte proceeds to the Pride Center of Vermont! Be sure to stop in for your morning caffeine kick!

Stowe Cider Tea Dance
Stowe Cider and Pride Center of Vermont have teamed up for a sweet and fizzy fete, happening Sunday, August 22 from 2 to 6 p.m. This pre-Pride Week Tea Dance with renowned DJ Craig Mitchell will have food, games and drink specials available. The servers are donating their tips from the event to Pride Center of Vermont, as well as a portion of sales from a special can release. 

Mug Sale at Remarkable Things
Head to Remarkable Things in Stowe, where every purchase of a ZPots mug on Stowe Pride Day comes with a pouch of pocket heart charms. The mugs offer a heartfelt message of inspiration the whole year long: A Cup of Love. Courage. A Cup of Amazing. Believe. A Cup of Grace.

Donations at Stowe Visitor Information Center
While in town, head to the Stowe Visitor Information Center where you will find pride flags lining the building. Head inside to make a donation to the Pride Center of Vermont while getting recommendations of things to do while in town. Open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pride Rides at Ranch Camp
Start the Pride Day celebration a day early with Pride Rides at Ranch Camp! Join a gravel group ride around Stowe’s hillside hollows on Saturday, August 21 at 10 a.m.. This ride is beginner friendly. Stay after for lunch and beverages at the Backyard.

Continue Celebrating Pride at Spruce Peak
Even after Stowe Pride Day you can continue to celebrate pride at Spruce Peak. Enjoy the fresh mountain air while shopping for local and all-natural gifts and goodies at The Spa at Spruce Peak. Their Tuesday Spruce Loop Guided hike will be open to the public for a suggested/optional donation to go towards OutRight Vermont for the entire month of September.
