 Important Family Caregiver Support Survey

'Tis the season of giving and there is no greater example of genuine gifting than that of a family caregiver. Please take a moment to consider this request to contact everyone in your network regarding a caregiver support survey. Completion of this survey by as many individuals and families as possible will make a real difference in decisions made by state policy makers impacting caregivers daily. The message below explains the background and purpose of the survey plus it includes a direct link to the survey. Thank you for your help to support Maryland's family caregivers. Oh, and feel free to complete the survey yourself if you are or have been a family caregiver.

The Maryland Caregivers Support Coordinating Council (MCSCC) is seeking family caregivers and non paid caregivers - friends, neighbors and other supports to complete an anonymous online survey. They are supported by Maryland AARP and multiple statewide organizations.

A family caregiver is someone who helps an adult or a child with a disability with personal care, household chores, money management, arranging for outside service arrangements including personal assistance or visiting regularly to see how they are doing. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes or less, and will ask questions about the care you provide to your loved one or friend, how caregiving has impacted your life, and your needs as a family caregiver.

This is your opportunity for your voice to be heard. The results of this survey will be used by the MCSCC  to inform our new Governor, the Maryland General Assembly, State offices, agencies, community groups, and family caregivers like you. To be effective, we need your advice on the needs of family caregivers and the best ways to meet those needs. So we welcome your voluntary participation and feedback through the survey found on the following link:

All information collected is anonymous, secured & protected.

Please share this link with your various networks and encourage them to take the time to complete the questionnaire. Anyone who is a family caregiver and is 18 years or older is eligible to participate in this survey. Please feel free to forward this invitation to your family, friends, and colleagues. We realize your time is valuable and appreciate your consideration and the gift of your knowledge.
